Preventing a centipede infestation in your home

An ancient creature still alive today is the centipede.  Centipedes are the creepiest crawlers of them all and dangerous to small children.  What's more, centipede bites are quite painful, induce swelling and can affect people with allergies.

One of Hollywood's top animal and bug trainers, Jules Sylvester has handled just about every creepy crawler on Earth, and for him it's 'the nastiest thing he's ever met'.

"Their two front legs have been modified into hollow fangs and they can grab you in inject venom which can leave you writhing for several days," says Sylvester.

Sylvester's tips on dealing with slithery centipedes are clear.  Treat it like a snake, sweep it into a trash can and dispose of it outside or in the garbage.  To keep centipede infestation from happening around your house clear wood and leaf piles, remove possible food sources from your home, use insect spray or call an exterminator.

Although a centipede bite to an adult human can be very painful and may cause severe swelling, chills, fever, and weakness, it is unlikely to be fatal.  The bite of larger centipedes can induce anaphylactic shock, so if bitten get to a doctor immediately.

The message here is clear, don't let these little creepizoids get a foothold in your dwelling.  Make a preemptive strike on centipedes now!
