Want some new make-up but can't afford to buy it? You may already have it at home, and not even know it! Our beauty expert, Jessica Metivier, has a few different uses for a product that will keep you glowing and save you money at the same time.
"Loose, shimmery powders and bronzers can be pretty and fun," says Jessica. "But they can sometimes get looked over in the make-up drawer. Let's explore their many uses!"
Shimmer powder comes in shades of iridescent pinks to darker bronzes.
"I love a little bit of sparkle, but I feel like sometimes people don't know where to put it, like does it go on your face, or on your body?" says Jessica. "The first thing we're going to do is mix the bronzer with a little body lotion to create a glowing, reflective sheen all over. Mix the lotion and shimmer powder from a pot in your palms and smooth it onto your neck and shoulders."
"It's like a tan without any of the sun damage," she adds. "This is a great way to highlight your shoulders and collar bone before a night out."
Here's another tip: Turn any eye shadow shimmery by patting a little on top of your favorite matte or flat shade. Or, sprinkle it in with some lip gloss to give it a whole new finish.
"I'm all about taking a product and getting the most use out of it," Jessica finishes. "Sometimes all it takes is a little experimentation to create something brand new out of something you already own!"
