Take advantage of free community resources

You pay taxes to support your local library and community center.  But the question is - are you using them?

Instead of dropping $20 on a new book at the bookstore, why not check it out for free at the library? In fact, many offer e-books now, too.

You can also find DVD's and plenty of audio books there.

Many communities also offer adult education classes, things like cooking, foreign languages, or computer classes.

Your town also probably offers concerts or art festivals throughout the year.

And that's plenty of options for cheap—or even free—entertainment for your family.
