Fighting traffic tickets

Don't you hate shelling out cash for a traffic ticket? America Now Money Expert Nathan Bachrach has some advice that could really drive home some savings.

A reckless driving conviction will raise your premiums by more then 20 percent. And so will a DUI.

And a speeding ticket could make for a 10 percent jump.

Bachrach's advice: If you're pulled over, fight the ticket.

There is always the chance the charge could be dismissed or reduced in court.

Prosecutors and judges may also offer you a deal to avoid a full traffic trial. Going to traffic school can also help.

And some insurance companies also have forgiveness policies if it's your first ticket, so make sure you ask about that.
