Ask you child what causes they would support, if they had money or time to give away. Then think about matching the money they raise as a motivator.

Show your child that donating time can be just as important, too. Have them come with you to a soup kitchen, food pantry or animal shelter.

Remember: Kids are sponges. So make sure you're setting a good example, Even the little things, like helping a neighbor or letting someone go ahead of you in line at the store, make a difference.
