Are you sleep texting?

We're in a society where staying connected is key, but while you're sleeping? One of the most embarrassing  and unnerving sleep disorders now being studied is something called "sleep texting."

It's on the rise because of how many of us sleep with our smartphones right next to our beds. Dr. Susan Sprau is a sleep expert she says sleep testing is similar to sleepwalking.

Not only is sleep testing an abnormal sleep behavior, but Dr. Sprau says that it can also create a lot of havoc in your waking life.

"You may be testing an embarrassing comment that you wouldn't normally verbalize to somebody if you were awake," says Dr. Sparu

Sleep texting is a special concern for teenagers and young adults because their brains are still developing. In worse case sceneries, sleep texting could also be a sign of a high risk health issue like obstructive sleep apnea.
